The International Association for Media in Science (IAMS) 2006
Special mention for the Vega Science Trust's website - judged to be of outstanding quality.

Learning on Screen Award 2005
Vega was awarded with Screenhouse Productions the winner of the Non-Broadcast Award for General Audience for the production of the Snapshots series 2.

Royal Society Faraday Award 2001
Awarded to Sir Harry Kroto, for his work promoting public understanding of science and the work of the Vega Science Trust.

Prix Leonardo 2000
Bronze Certificate of Merit for "GM Foods - Safe?".

Chemical Industry Awards
for advancing public understanding and appreciation of science and familiarity with chemicals, chemistry and the chemical industry through the news media.

Professor Sir Harold Kroto was short-listed for the President's Award for the most outstanding personal contribution to fulfilling the aims of the awards during 1997, 1998.
